On Wednesday 3rd October 2013, the Australian Hospitality Association hosted the AHA 2013 National Awards for Excellence at the Hotel Realm, Canberra. The prestigious Awards night hailed hotels and restaurants that demonstrated outstanding services, accommodation, entertainment, food and beverage.
Held in the nation’s capital for the first time, the AHA National Awards for Excellence involved more than 450 hotel industry leaders, supporters, special guests and parliamentarians for the annual Awards event at Hotel Realm to celebrate all aspects of Australia’s vibrant hotel sector. The AHA awards have a rigorous judging process, whereby nominations are put forward to a panel of industry notables, who decide the finalists and winners.
Hotel Realm won Australia’s Best Meeting and Events Venue for the second time running, along with Best Marketed Hotel (accommodation division).
The AHA Best Meetings and Events award recognises the world-class facilities housed within Hotel Realm. The hotel banqueting team is dedicated to providing exceptional service with complete professionalism within a comfortable, understated, luxurious environment. The hotel is dedicated to continually evolving within the function market and has recently completed a one million dollar refurbishment of the National Ballroom.
Hotel Realm owner, Jure Domazet acknowledged the awards as “a fantastic recognition of the Canberra market”. The Doma Group who own the Hotel Realm and Burbury Hotel with the Realm Precinct in Canberra will commence construction on their newest hotel on National Circuit in Barton in 2014.
